We’re selling our building…

But not halting operations!

Good afternoon! I wanted to drop you a quick note letting you know that we are putting our building on the market but not to worry when you see a “for sale” sign up in our yard. We’ve been steadily expanding our programs, bringing on paid staff to support more volunteers, that then offer more services to children and families, and have outgrown our current facility. Remodeling would be too costly and our Board of Directors has decided to start the hunt for a new space to accommodate our growing team.

One of our wonderful Guardians ad Litem, Jay Story of Story Commercial, will be representing Family Advocates as our broker and helping us navigate this adventure. If commercial real estate is an interest of yours, here are a few super basic things we’re looking for in a space;

  • Building of roughly 6,000-8,000 sq ft
  • ADA compliant (and/or minimum investment for upgrading)
  • Within 3 miles of the Ada County courthouse
  • Minimum of 25 parking spots
  • Easy access for our volunteers

Of course, my dream is someone will just give us a perfect space so that we can reinvest funds from the sale of our building back into our programs… Therefore, if you know anyone that is EXTREMELY philanthropic in this arena, I’d love to talk with them!
