Welcome Our New Executive Director!

It is with great excitement that the Family Advocates Board announces the hiring of Kathryn Seebold as our new Executive Director.

Kathryn Seebold has had a successful career of over 20 years in the medical device field as a Global Marketing Executive focused on Aesthetics. Kathryn has held positions such as Senior Director of Sales Operations at Coherent Medical/Lumenis, Vice President of Sales and Marketing at German based laser manufacturer WaveLight, President of TLC Cosmetic, a Management Company overseeing multiple Dermatology Clinics in Southern California and CEO of Crown Integrated Solutions, a medical inventory software company. Kathryn’s fluency in Russian afforded her the opportunity to travel the world for work early in her career and learn about doing business in many different cultures.

In addition to Kathryn’s corporate career she has been active in the non-profit sector for over 20 years. She focused her time on charities that supported women and children in her local community of Orange County, California especially children who suffer from abuse and as a result have been placed in foster care. Kathryn was a Governing Board Member for Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of Orange County for 4 years, has been Co-Chair of the Holiday Luncheon and a member of the Friends of CASA Auxiliary Board.

As a CASA Board member Kathryn saw an opportunity when the position of CEO became available. That opportunity was to take her business acumen and apply it in the non-profit sector she so loved. As CEO of CASA of Orange County for 3 years she gave CASA a renewed outlook for the future – one where the focus was on strategic planning, fundraising diversification, heightened community awareness about the cause, sustainability and gratitude for the staff, volunteers and donors.

Kathryn’s early volunteer work began in the Junior League. She is a Past President of Junior League of Orange County, CA where she has been a volunteer for many years. As President Kathryn managed a Board of twelve women who support a membership of over 600 women volunteers. Kathryn also served two years as a Board Member of Orangewood Children’s Foundation and was a member of the 44 for Women Auxiliary and was also an Advisory Board Member for The Teen Project whose mission is to provide housing and assistance to emancipated youth who are struggling.

Kathryn graduated with honors from the University of California at Berkeley and attended the Executive MBA program through YPO at Harvard University. A few years ago, while still working and traveling she pursued her studies in health and nutrition. Kathryn received her graduate certificate from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition/State University of New York (SUNY) and is a Certified Health Coach and accredited with the Board of the American Association of Drugless Practitioners (AADP). Kathryn is also a published author with a chapter in Courageous Stories of Inspiration.

Kathryn and her husband Dan moved to Idaho in 2017. Kathryn has enjoyed getting involved with the community and is a member of the Spurwing Ladies Golf Association Board and volunteers for The Boys & Girls Club of Ada County. Kathryn and Dan have 3 adult children and reside in Meridian.

We are thrilled to have Kathryn join our team. Her deep background in business and her leadership experience running CASA of Orange Country make her the ideal leader to continue to grow Family Advocates mission of keeping children safe and making families strong.
